See the original recipe for chocolate syrup on One Good Thing by Jillee. As I shared before it is better than Hershey's and I actually think it lasts longer because it's a little thinner in consistency and richer in taste.
This batch of coffee creamer is the Chocolate Almond recipe found here at Deliciously Organic. I'll have to try it in the morning, but the other two creamers I made (pumpkin spice and honey vanilla) were incredible. I do admit, though, that I used cocoa powder instead of cacao.
I had to halve this batch of taco seasoning from Heavenly Homemakers because I didn't have enough chili powder, however that is ok because Jon is super picky about taco seasoning. We can't wait to try it to give you a review on how it really tastes :)
And finally... we are in LOVE with blackened anything. I had a recipe in my box of a blackened spice mix and I recently decided it is crazy for me to make this up every time I want to blacken something. So... here is my awesome recipe for
2 Tb salt
1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp ground cayenne
1/2 tsp sweet paprika
On the list to still do is Cream of Anything Soup Mix from One Orange Giraffe and Ranch Mix and Onion Soup Mix from Self-Reliance by Jamie. Can't wait to do an update to this blog post, but for now, I hope that this has inspired you to mix up some of your own pantry staples and save some money!
